Community Service Worker
Train for a new career with flexible in-class, hybrid and online learning options.
Academy of Learning’s Community Service Worker diploma program helps you build practical skills to support individuals, families and vulnerable populations in community-focused settings.
You’ll learn about mental health and addictions, family dynamics and the experiences of at-risk populations while developing skills in communication, case management and ethical decision-making. You’ll practice thinking through real-world support situations, from listening to someone’s needs to helping connect them with resources, services and next steps.
You’ll also apply what you’ve learned through a community-focused field placement, helping you gain practical experience and a clearer understanding of your future role before you graduate. This training can support career paths in social service agencies, mental health organizations, group homes, shelters, substance abuse centres and other community-based settings.
With Academy of Learning’s Integrated Learning System®, you can move through your courses step by step with practical exercises, interactive learning tools and support from Learning Coaches when you need guidance.
